A soft and light kimono dyed in celadon blue has been remade into a short-sleeved shirt. Hand-painted. Silk. 1970~. The pattern on this kimono is called the Chayatsuji pattern. It depicts a waterside landscape with bridges, houses, trees and flowers. This pattern originally originated from a pattern on kimonos made from hemp that were worn by women of upper-class samurai families. The tranquil, beautiful countryside scenery brings a sense of security to our hearts. It's not very noticeable, but there are a couple of small stains.
