We have remade this lustrous, soft fabric into a dress. 1980~. This is a one-of-a-kind piece painted by hand with gold and silver paint. A beautiful spring scene of Kyoto is painted on the fabric, which is dyed in a gradation from silver gray to a calm pink.
The building depicted is Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot. The landscape, framed by the mountain cherry blossoms in the foreground, is depicted using the uniquely Japanese perspective technique seen in Katsushika Hokusai's woodblock prints. In cherry blossom season, the Kyoto mountains appear hazy and hazy, but even this view is skillfully depicted. In very good condition.
